Flockworks is proud to have supported the Fort Bragg Alleyway Arts Project, developed by Artist Lia Wilson.
Lia Morsell started the Alleyway Art project in Fort Bragg with the dual purposes of bringing public art to our city. As founder and director of the project, she connects businesses and organizations with artists to create murals inspired by local life, landscape, culture, and history. Incubated under Flockworks until 2020, FB Alleyway Art is now under the fiscal sponsorship of the Arts Council of Mendocino County.
Flockworks co-sponsored one of the first Alleyway Art murals, located on the south-facing side of the shed behind 300 Main Street in downtown Fort Bragg. Designed by local tattoo artist and designer Jacob, aka Ferric Decay the installation shows a beautifully rendered super-large scale image of the Pink Delight Rhododendron, inspired by the intersection between the Botanical Gardens' stunning and beloved rhododendron collection, and an eye-catching tattoo that Jacob designed for a client.
Where It All Began: April 2018 Mural Announcement
We are excited to announce we have broken ground on our very first installation! This mural is co-sponsored by the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. It is designed by local tattoo artist and designer Jacob, aka Ferric Decay, who is currently installing on the south-facing side of the shed behind 300 Main Street in downtown Fort Bragg.
(For locals, the mural is behind Coast Hardware, and across the street from The Golden West). The installation will be a beautifully rendered super-large scale image of the Pink Delight Rhododendron, inspired by the intersection between the Botanical Gardens' stunning and beloved rhododendron collection, and an eye-catching tattoo that Jacob designed for a client.
